Today we’re talking with Sandra Erni from Blumenhaus Erni. She manages the florist’s online shop and tells us, among other things, why she made the right choice with the MyCOMMERCE eCommerce solution.

Tell us something about Blumenhaus Erni. What do you offer?

As the name suggests, Blumenhaus Erni is a speciality flower shop. At our location in the heart of Wettingen, we have always offered our customers a wide selection of all kinds of floristry.

What motivated you to start an online shop?

As is common practice in the floristry industry, our customers can place their orders over the phone. However, we have often found it extremely difficult for our customers to visually imagine the products when ordering over the phone. At the time, we lacked something like a “digital shop window” that would allow our customers to see the items before purchasing. To counteract this problem, we integrated an order form into our website. Over time, however, this solution proved to be suboptimal, as it entailed a great deal of additional manual work. Every order had to be confirmed manually, which simply became unmanageable over time. During this phase, we also realised that our customers need to be able to order around the clock, without being tied to the store’s opening hours. At this point it became clear that we needed a professional eCommerce solution.

Why did you choose MyCOMMERCE?

Because we were already localsearch customers, we had already heard about the “MyCOMMERCE” product. This prompted us to take a closer look at MyCOMMERCE, especially with regard to the features that particularly interested us. These features included the automatic sending of transactional mailings, such as order confirmations, as well as the ability to set up different delivery zones. The fact that all of these features are included in MyCOMMERCE significantly influenced our purchasing decision.

What would you particularly recommend about MyCOMMERCE and why?

Firstly, there’s the functionality I just mentioned for setting up different delivery zones, which is particularly essential for the floristry industry. Secondly, there’s the functionality that allows for the individual customisation of predefined texts in email templates. I must honestly admit that the latter was a bit overwhelming for me at first. I was all the more surprised when, thanks to the support team and the corresponding help centre instructions, I was able to easily customise the email templates—all without any prior HTML knowledge.
