MyCOMMERCE Success Stories: Today with Andy Varonier from C. Varonier & Söhne AG
With “MyCOMMERCE Success Stories,” we’re launching a new blog post format. You can regularly expect exciting short interviews with MyCOMMERCE online retailers on the topic of eCommerce. For this post, we interviewed Andy Varonier of C. Varonier & Söhne AG and asked him, among other things, why he ventured into online business.
Tell us a little about yourself and your company. What do you produce and what is your role?
About 10 years ago, I was privileged to take over the “C. Varonier & Sons” winery in Varen, which was founded by my grandfather. We produce quality wines with great passion from fruity grapes grown on the best slopes under the spectacular “Valais sun.”
What motivated you to start an online shop?
In addition to producing quality wines, we also regularly hold wine events, such as wine tastings, cellar tours, and vineyard walks. Unfortunately, all of these events have been canceled due to the coronavirus. This market shift motivated me to build an online business so that I could also better target the private customer segment.
Why did you choose MyCOMMERCE?
I discovered the MyCOMMERCE product through my own research. I looked at various shop solutions and quickly realized that MyCOMMERCE best met my needs. Since I’m not an eCommerce professional myself, the solution’s ease of use and intuitive usability were what convinced me to purchase it. I also think it’s great that MyCOMMERCE has numerous integrated features that actively support me in marketing my online shop and selling my products.
What would you particularly recommend about MyCOMMERCE and why?
In the current situation, MyCOMMERCE offers the opportunity to set up your own shop very quickly and easily. Furthermore, the shop solution is also perfect for eCommerce newbies who want to manage their shop themselves but, like me, lack in-depth technical knowledge.
